Toiber Arkroid and his team have landed on Equinox in the Delta Trianguli dual-sun system and met the Neo-Sapiens, a humanoid species resembling Neanderthals. These beings had been transferred from Earth by the Galactic Brotherhood to build the Second Retreat. Their thriving civilization was destroyed by the Dark Brotherhood as part of a counter plan in a merciless war. Groups of Neo-Sapiens, however, survived the onslaught and hid underground, struggling for over 2000 years to hold the upper hand against the Looters, beings infected by degenerated technology. While in hiding, the Neo-Sapiens developed their own technology further until they were able to disguise their presence.
